Reading & Meditation (Thankful)

by Rev. Christine Emmerling 11/21/21

Today I’m sharing with you in gratitude to our founder of Divine Science the original Statement of Being as given by Malinda Cramer in her early textbook of 1890 “The Science of Infinite Spirit; and the Christ Method of Healing.”

There can be but one All. This all in all is God and God manifested.

One is the number of unity.

Unity is forever the state of nature of One.

God being Infinite, there is no finite. He is all of Being, creative action and creation. “I and my Father are one.”

God is spirit, all of Life, Love, Truth, Substance, Soul and Intelligence, All of Knowledge, all of Power, all of Presence.

Like expresses like; hence, man is Spirit, life, love, truth, substance, soul, intelligence, knowledge, power and presence, the exact image and likeness of God, co-eternal and co-equal with him.

Nothing can be manifested that is not, before it is manifested. As God alone is, it is God who is manifested in an ever-present creation.

That which is begotten of Spirit, is spirit. I am before I am manifested. Man is potential in god, and is expresser, co-worker and capable of doing His will, demonstrating the nature of Spirit.

Man Being and existence, created in the image of God’s eternity and wholeness. There is one Spirit and one body. Individually, we are inseparable.

The following is the Divine Science Statement of Being from Divine Science Its Principles and Practice 1955.

God is all, both invisible and visible. One Presence, One Mind, One Power is All. This One that is All, is Perfect Life, Perfect Love, and Perfect Substance. Man is an individual expression of God, and is ever one with this Perfect Life, Perfect Love and Perfect Substance.

It was in the 1990s that I took liberty to replace “Man” with “I Am” to make it more personal. Later other churches replaced “Man” with “We are” to be all-inclusive.

Meditation

We will now move into meditation. I invite you to relax, and get comfortable. Let us take in some full deep breaths, and close our eyes as we go inward. As I speak to take these words in to embody them. I will begin with the Divine Science Statement of Being as all-inclusive.

God is all, both invisible and visible. One Presence, One Mind, One Power is All. This One that is All, is Perfect Life, Perfect Love, and Perfect Substance. We are an individualized expression of God, and we are ever one with this Perfect Life, Perfect Love and Perfect Substance.

God as Infinite Spirit is everywhere present; All Good, All Power, All Love, All Life, All Creation. Always has been, and always is.

These words of Truth assure my innate inheritance. Infinite Spirit’s bountiful overflowing goodness and love is my very essence, and therefore pours forth in and through all that I am and do.

I am grateful to be expressing God’s unlimited love and goodness. (Repeat)

As a living expression of God, I witness through the eyes of love, and see good everywhere. I see good in the little things of life. In the next breath I breathe. In waking up this morning. In having the opportunity to connect with beauty all around me; in the sunrise, twinkling stars, colorful flowers, children at play, a chance encounter to say hello, or to help another person. Life is good, so very good. (Silence)

My heart is filled with gratitude for these sacred moments in Oneness. Thanks be to God.

I invite you to bring your attention back to your breath, and to your body. You may want to stretch a little. And, open your eyes.
