Today’s reading is from the Divine Science Daily Study written by Rev. Mallory Kretzmann from the Divine Science Center of South Africa.
There is only one “Immortal” aspect of all in the universe. That one “constant” is the essence of what we are and is the truth of ourselves - the spirit (energy) - which is ever present. – Jack Holland
The One Source of all being, God - or whatever name we are comfortable with - is an invisible something, and we are challenged to believe in it even though with our five senses we cannot discern it in any tangible way. Let us consider this passage:
“Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where it grows rusty and moth-eaten, and thieves break in to steal it. Store up treasures in heaven, where there is no moth or rust to spoil it, no thieves to break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.” (Matt. 6:19-29)
Where is this alternate “storage space” to be found? ...within our own consciousness. And the treasure of course includes a true knowing, an intimate experience with the Inner Presence. Whatever we truly know - and realize in consciousness - stays with us. This is the treasure.
We know that all comes forth from the Invisible Source into manifestation. And the only “place” that this knowing is sensed, is in consciousness. It all comes back to consciousness; this is where true change takes place. This is where peace, love, and understanding are held - the absolute peace, love, and understanding that ultimately cannot be shaken by the outside world.
Affirm: Today I am mindful fo the Inner Presence, the true treasure in life.
Meditation - Light:
Let us move into meditation. Get comfortable, relax, and turn inward to our holy temple. As I speak to take these words in for yourself.
I am a treasure. I am a great treasure. This treasure is within me, it is my very self, my very life... It is God, the living Christ within... A wondrous treasure to explore and know. So precious, so good, so powerful - truly a gift of pure love. A gift of wholeness, a gift of wisdom and knowing. All there within whispering come to me, find me, embrace me... I am the light. I am the light that shows the way and is the truth, and is the joy of life... I am truly this very light, and my light is now shining brightly from within to without... I am a beacon of light...
I am a gift, a treasure, to the world. (Repeat)
All there is, is light. Invisible and visible light connecting all as one light shining forth as individualized radiant rays; stars, planets, all cosmic and all planet life. Every living creature large or small, crawling, flying, swimming, walking; every flower, tree, bush, herb and grass; every particle of sand, dirt, rock, and every mineral and substance; all are the treasure, the gift being the great light of all life... I am, we are all One in this great light of light. (let us move into the silence)
As we bring our attention back let us have gratitude for these moments in the silence of Oneness. Thank you God. Amen.
