My reading for today is by Rev. Helen Zagat from the Divine Science Federation’s Daily Study volume II.

Who laid the cornerstone, when the morning stars were singing, and all the angels chanted in their joy? Job 38:6-7 (Moffatt)

Joy is a spiritual quality of the soul. Joy is an essential element of creativity. As we are seeking to learn the way of the stillness that is empowered with Truth, we can build into consciousness that quiet joy that is the mark of true spiritual realization.

The cornerstone is the foundation of the divine, creative plan. Our faith, rooted in Principle, becomes strong. Then we rise above the intellectual reasons that we have used, and we soar on the wings of spiritual beauty. In this vibrant, joyous acceptance we sign and seal our oneness with God.

Creation is ever in the present. As we rejoice in the beauty of the invisible creation, we are establishing the foundation for a life of harmony and peace and fulfillment.

Meditation - Joy

We will now go into meditation on Joy. I invite us to turn inward to our Holy Temple, quiet our thoughts, and listen taking in these words.

“The Joy of the Lord is your strength” Neh. 8:10

I now bring my whole attention to the presence of God - the Divine Presence - Infinite Spirit that is absolutely everywhere both invisible and visible. I am in God and God is living in, through and as the I that I am. I acknowledge God as the joy that is everywhere present. Right here and now I am in the presence of God’s joy. God is expressing joy which reverberates through every aspect of my being; mind, body, and soul.

I am joyously living in the Kingdom of God. (Repeat)

God’s Joy is expressing as this invisible power of love that is life and more life. Every star and cosmic body in our universe is a joyous expression of brilliant rays of light. The bees and butterflies joyously flittering from flower to flower. The birds singing joyously early in the morning to the rising sun. I too sing to the rising sun and sunset. Joy is the igniting of my very heart beat. My veins joyously carrying light, love and oxygen, nurturing every cell of my body. Joy is the nucleus to every atom of my being. Divine ideas are expressing and creating joyously through me. The Joy that I am empowers all that I think, say and do. I am the embodiment of God’s joy in expression. I am joyously alive. (Silence)

As we bring our attention back let us feel the joy of gratitude for these moments in silent communion. So it is. Thank you, God. Amen.
