Reading & Meditation by Rev. Teresa Stuefloten M.Div. 11/23/2025

Good morning! This is Rev Teresa. I have a reading for you this morning from “Where There is Light, Insight and Inspiration for Meeting Life’s Challenges” by Paramahansa Yogananda. He says:

“Every day do some good to help others, even if it is only a pittance. If you want to love God, you must love people. They are his children. You can be helpful materially by giving to the needy; mentally by giving comfort to the sorrowful, courage to the fearful, divine friendship and moral support to the weak. You also sow seeds of goodness when you interest others in God, and cultivate in them greater love for God, deeper faith in Him. When you leave this world, material riches will be left behind; but every good that you have done will go with you. Wealthy people who live in miserliness, and selfish people who never help others, do not attract wealth in their next life. But those who give and share, whether they have much or little, will attract prosperity. That is the law of God.”

“Think of Divine Abundance as a mighty, refreshing rain; whatever receptacle you have at hand will receive it. If you hold a tin cup, you will receive only that quantity. If you hold up a bowl, that will be filled. What kind of receptacle are you holding up to Divine Abundance? Perhaps your vessel is defective; if so, it should be repaired by casting out all fear, hate, doubt, envy, and then cleansed by the purifying waters of peace, tranquility, devotion, and love. Divine Abundance follows the law of service and generosity, Give and then receive. Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you.”

Meditation

Now I invite you to prepare to go within for a short time of meditation, letting go of worries or concerns for this time, getting comfortable, closing your eyes with your inner gaze raised to the center of the forehead, turning your attention to your breath, gently noticing the in-breath and the out-breath… feeling the coolness of the in-breath and the warmth of the out-breath… allowing the breath to sink down into the belly with each in-breath… expanding the belly with each in-breath and contracting the belly with each out-breath… coming into the present moment through the breath now, completely awake and aware…

I am a Divine Expression, perfect, whole and complete, living moving and having my being in God in every moment…

I cast out all fear, hate, doubt, and envy from my consciousness…

I see the perfection, wholeness and completeness at the core of all beings; everyone living, moving and having their being in God…

I am Divinely loving, and I give love to all…

I give love freely, expecting nothing in return and I receive unlimited Divine Love…

I am kind and I receive unlimited kindness…

I am generous and I receive unlimited generosity…

I am helpful and I receive help whenever I need it…

I give my best to the world and the best returns to me…

I see the Christ in me, my hope of glory…

I see the Christ in others and I serve that Truth at the core of all beings…

My receptacle for blessings is as large as the ocean, and I receive unlimited blessings continuously…

I am grateful for all of my blessings, large and small, all Divine gifts of love…

The mighty, refreshing rain of Spirit refreshes me in every moment as I turn to God within me…

I am truly blessed…

We let go into the silence within for one minute now…

Now, having rested in the silence, I invite you to bring yourself back to awareness of the body, feeling gratitude for the Divine blessings and support that are always yours in the present moment. You are a Divine expression, always in the flow of grace peace and abundance. The peace that passes all understanding is in the present moment. Today, as a child of God, live from the knowing that you are perfect, whole and complete in God, living, moving and having your being in God. And so, it is!
