One who is really poised in understanding is not led by emotions or governed by feelings, but constantly looks through all appearances to find unchanging Truth. Daisy M. (Mrs C.L) Baum, Individual Responsibility

Daisy M. Baum tells us in her writings that we must be strongly poised in the understanding of the Truth of the Greater Spiritual Reality behind all human happenings in this everyday world of appearances.

Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually, we need to be so consecrated to the Truth of Being that we cannot allow ourselves to be disturbed by the human foolishness, the insensitive stupidity, the raging conflicts, and the breaking of Spiritual Law that we sometimes see around us.

To give in to our emotions is to place ourselves at the mercy of the world of appearances and to suffer needlessly all the ravages of our disturbed thoughts on our mind and body. This is evidence that we are living from the personal plane and not from our Light of Truth within.

When we are firmly poised in our own indwelling Divinity, then Truth tells us that Divine Intelligence has everything in hand and that Spirit is constantly working towards our Good.

So, look only to the Good and we will see it manifest.

Today I look past all negative appearances and I give thanks for the beauty of the world all around me and the Joy and Peace of God within me.

I affirm: No need to fear, God is always here!

Meditation

We shall now move into meditation on Truth. Let us turn inward to our holy temple. Bring our attention to our breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly. We acknowledge God as the very breath we breathe. Stilling our thoughts we listen.

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

I now bring my whole attention to the presence of God - the Divine Presence - Infinite Spirit that is absolutely everywhere as all life - all creation - both visible and invisible. Infinite Spirit individualized as the I Am that I Am, is the truth of who and what I am.

I am a living expression of God’s love. (Repeat)

God so loved that creation burst forth into expression - love and more love, joy and more joy, peace and more peace, life and more life. Regardless of creation’s form, shape, color or size it is God’s beauty radiating forth. All is God’s beauty being expressed in you, me and all life and form everywhere. I am truly a beautiful creation of God therefore I am whole, perfect and complete just as God is I am. (Silence)

In gratitude for this realization of truth we say “Thank you God.” And so it is! I now invite us to bring our attention back.
