Our reading for today is from the Divine Science Daily Studies and today’s is written by Rev. Elsie B. MacKay, an early Divine Science minister in Denver, CO.

TODAY I ALLOW THE CHRIST LIGHT TO SHINE THROUGH ME

Jesus told us that God is Light. He reminded us that we are the light of the world. “Let your light shine…” he said.

Today we realize Jesus was giving us the pure scientific facts. Science tells us that if you stand in front of an infrared camera in complete darkness, the screen with show you as a glowing form, beaming with light. This has been proved…you are the light of the world…and LIGHT MUST SHINE. It has no choice. But [we] must open [our] heart and mind to the Light.

In Matthew 17:2 we read how Jesus emanated the Christ Light. “His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became dazzling white.”

This was the Christ Light that healed the suffering and fed the hungry through Jesus the Christ. The people who saw the evidence of [a person's] response to the Christ Light knew that these miracles had come forth from God.

The Christ Light is the source of all life, love, growth, wholeness and peace. When we give it a clear channel, the LIGHT SHINES...and Christ wisdom, power, and joy shine through us to open doors and make way for miracles to happen in our lives.

Meditation

We shall now move into a meditation on Light. Relax, get comfortable. As we close our eyes let us turn inward to our holy temple. Now bring our attention to our breath, breathing the living light of God that sustains all life.

The following words I speak to take them within:

“God is Light; in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

God Light is Omnipresent, God Light is Omniscient, God Light is Omnipotent; God Light is everywhere present, God Light is all knowledge, God Light is all power. I am one with God, therefore I too am a Light of God, a radiant light shining ever brightly.

I am a bright shining light. (Repeat)

The entire universe is God expressing light, both visible and invisible light. Even dark matter is light. Every cosmic body of our universe is light in expression. All creation, all life is a vibrational frequency of light.

Every thought I have is a vibration of light. Every living cell of my body is a vibration light. Every feeling is a vibration of light. Every emotion is a vibration of light. Every sound is a vibration of light. Everything I see is a vibration of light. My entire being is vibrating to a high frequency of light. I am emanating God’s light into this world. Let us rest in a minute of silence.

Thank you God for these moments in silent communion of at-one-ment. Now let us bring our attention back to our breath, to our body, and be fully present.
