I’m reading today from Divine Science Daily Studies adapted from the work by Divine Science Minister in California Joseph Murphy (1898-1981).
“Our inner nature is being renewed every day” 2 Corinthians 4;16
When you are in the valley of despair, turn to the God Presence within you and realize that external things and conditions are not causative. All things pass away. Conditions do not create other conditions. It all depends on your thought and feeling – your mental attitude, the way you believe. Conditions and circumstances are suggestive only; you have the power to reject or to accept them.
Decide, therefore, that Infinite Intelligence reveals the way out. Contemplate the way of the Infinite and the problem will be removed and the obstacle or difficulty will be shattered. As you claim that Divine Law and Order govern your life, the ups and downs of life shall be made straight and the rough places plain; that is, you will begin to live a balanced life of growth and advancement, free from detours into sickness, accidents, losses and foolish expenditures of time and energy.
Keeping your eyes and mind on the God Power, tune in on the universal Wisdom within you. Make contact through your thought and feeling; all the difficulties will disappear.
Affirm: God is my source. This Infinite Intelligence leads me. I listen.
Meditation - (Power)
We will now go into meditation on Power. I invite us to turn inward to our Holy Temple, that sacred place within us, and say, I acknowledge God as my very breath; the life giving breath. I breathe in the Divine Presence of God. Every breath gives life to every cell of my body, clears my thoughts, and restores my soul.
There is a living Infinite Presence as the Omnipotence of God. The one and only power that is eternally everywhere present. This Power is all good and is expressing through all creation - all life. Infinite Spirit is living through and as my very being right here and now. I am one with this Power of Good.
I am good. (Repeat)
I am a witness to God’s good works. I see the beauty in our world, in all of nature. I see the love between a parent and child. I see the joy in people sharing and coming together. I see the generosity of people giving. I see the caring of people helping those in need. Truly I can say all is good and very good. (Silence)
As we bring our attention back let the joy of gratitude fill our hearts. With a full heart I say, Thank you, God. So it is, Amen!
