Today’s reading is from the Divine Science Federation Daily Study written by Rev. Mallory Kretzmann of South Africa.

There is only one “immortal” aspect of all in the universe. That one “constant” is the essence of what we are and is the truth of ourselves – the spirit (energy) – which is ever present. By Jack Holland

The One Source of all being, God – or whatever name we are comfortable with – is an invisible something, and we are challenged to believe in it even though with our five senses we cannot discern it in any tangible way. Let us consider this passage:

Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where it grows rusty and moth-eaten, and thieves break in to steal it. Store up treasures in heaven, where there is no moth or rust to spoil it, no thieves to break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also. (Matthew 6:19,20)

Where is this alternate “storage space” to be found? ...within our own consciousness. And the treasure of course includes a true knowing, an intimate experience with the Inner Presence. Whatever we truly know – and realize in consciousness – stays with us. This is the treasure.

We know that all comes forth from the Invisible Source into manifestation. And the only “place” that this knowing is sensed, is in consciousness. It all comes back to consciousness; this is where true change takes place. This is where peace, love, and understanding are held – the absolute peace, love, and understanding that ultimately cannot be shaken by the outside world.

Affirm: Today I am mindful of the Inner Presence, the true treasure in Life.

Meditation - Peace

We will now go into meditation on Peace. I invite us to turn inward to our Holy Temple, and breathe as we quiet our thoughts, and listen taking in these words. Peace be still, Peace be still.

God’s peace is here and now and everywhere present. It is a peace beyond what this world can give. It is a deep inner connection with the Divine Presence. A spiritual connection in love, where the light within fills my entire being bringing a great peace. I am one with this peace of God.

God’s peace is my peace now. (Repeat)

I abide in the peace of God. (Repeat)

I can feel a deep calmness of peace. An everlasting peace that is ever with me. My world is made calm, Heaven is truly within me. God’s Kingdom of peace is here now. As within so without, Peace in fills me and peace surrounds me. My world is at peace... (silence)

As we bring our attention back let us feel the joy of gratitude for these moments in silent communion... With a full heart I say, Thank you, God. So it is, Amen!
