Today I’ve selected a reading from the Divine Science Daily Studies volume II. This reading is by Vernon Shields.

Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6. God is the giver and the Author of all things good. Health is good for you. Abundance is good for you. Peace of mind is good for you. Success is good for you.

The Bible teaches that God responds to His creation: “Call unto me, and I will answer you... Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” Jesus said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. And I knew that you hear me always.”

Your part in the Divine Plan is the greater realization of this basic, great Truth. Then, trust it! Live in the awareness of it daily. Do not withhold your good from you by feeling and believing that you are apart from God. It is this feeling of separation, or of duality, that blocks the flow of your good.

“All are but parts of one stupendous whole, whose body nature is, and God the soul.” (Alexander Pope) Jesus lived in the awareness his oneness with God, in the awareness that God responds and provides when faith is expressed.

You have faith. Use it. Direct it toward god, toward the highest and best.

Affirm now with feeling: I have faith in God, the Good, and my faith draws to me an abundance of every good thing. Thank you, Father.

Meditation “Good”

We shall now move into meditation on “Good.” Let us turn inward to our holy temple, breathe deeply and slowly, and quiet our thoughts. As I speak to take these words within.

God saw everything he had made, and behold, it was very good. Gen. 1:31

God is good. God’s goodness is everywhere present. God’s goodness created this vast universe; every star, planet and all the invisible spirit substance connecting it all together. And it is all very good.

This God goodness is living in through and as its creation. This means that in this very moment God’s goodness is expressing as my mind, body and soul.

God’s goodness is alive in me, and I am living in God’s goodness. (Repeat)

I too can behold the beauty and goodness of the universe, right down to my home and claim it all good. Everyday is an opportunity to claim the goodness that surrounds me; my family, friends, loved ones, workmates and even strangers. I see God’s goodness in what I eat and drink, and how it serves my body. I see God’s goodness expressing in every aspect of my daily life, and in this very moment. I now rest in the silence of God’s Goodness...

We are grateful for these moments in silence knowing our at-one-ment. We give thanks for this expanded awareness of God’s goodness. Thank you God! So it is. Amen.
