Good Morning! This is Rev. Teresa. I have a reading for you from the August 8 Divine Science Daily Study titled:

THE POWER OF NOW

So much of our human suffering is the result of our attitudes towards what has taken place in the past and what we look forward to in the future. We are consumed with sorrow and regret about the mistakes and missed opportunities of the past; and we fret over what the future holds for us individually and the world as a whole. What a waste of time and energy it is to dwell on the past and what is yet to come.

Everything that is happening in your household, in your community, in the world, in the universe, and in the cosmos is happening right now, this very moment. The heart of every individual on this plane is beating together in this single instant. Everything happens right now in this moment. Happenings don’t occur in future moments or in the past. They occur only in the present.

Your life is this way. Although you plan on a future and entertain memories of the past, you are only alive in this moment. And what you do, in and with this moment, determines what life is to you.

In God there is no anticipation of the future and there is no memory of the past. The fullness of God is in us, with us, around us and active in the cosmos right now. Each new moment is a new beginning and an opportunity for new growth and limitless possibilities.

Meditation:

Now I invite you to prepare to go within for a short time of meditation, letting go of worries or concerns for this time, getting comfortable, closing your eyes with your inner gaze raised to the center of the forehead, turning your attention to your breath, gently noticing the in-breath and the out-breath…feeling the coolness of the in-breath and the warmth of the out-breath… allowing the breath to sink down into the belly with each in-breath… expanding the belly with each in-breath and contracting the belly with each out-breath… coming into the present moment through the breath now, completely awake and aware…

Today I live in the present moment, aware of its potential for my growth…

Today I am perfect, whole and complete, living moving and having my being in God…

Today I am a perfect Divine Expression, made in the image and likeness of God…

Today I feel peace and harmony within my being, right where I am right now…

Today I feel Divine Love and Light, right where I am right now…

Today I feel my oneness with all beings, right where I am right now…

Today I am Divinely supplied with all that I need to thrive, right where I am right now…

Today I am healthy and whole, right where I am right now…

Today my life is filled with blessings, right where I am right now…

Today I forgive myself for all past perceived mistakes and I release them forever, right where I am right now…

Today I release all worries about the future, right where I am right now…

Today I live in the present moment, in the fullness of my Divine nature, right where I am right now…

The fullness of God is in, with, around and active within me and the universe right where I am right now…

I live in the awareness that each moment is a new beginning of limitless possibility, right where I am right now…

I now let go into the silence for one minute, resting in the present moment, right where I am right now…

Now that we have rested in the silence, I invite you to bring your awareness back to the physical body, feeling rested and refreshed. As we continue to abide in the present moment, we will recognize all of the blessings that are always present if we will only be aware. Live in the blessing of the present moment. And so, it is.
