DIVINE MANIFESTATION

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This verse, from John 1:1 is often not understood. Let us substitute the words “Divine Manifestation” for “Word.”

“In the beginning was the Divine Manifestation and the Divine Manifestation was with God, and the Divine Manifestation was God.” This makes more sense and it also clarifies the following verses: “The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”

This clearly tells us that God created everything and all things are a Divine Manifestation. When we can truly understand this, we will see that everything in this universe is a spiritual manifestation of God.

“Out of no-thing comes everything.” No-thing is not the same as “nothing.” No-thing means “not a thing.” Think of a cornucopia – the tail end of it is very small, yet in a wide opening comes forth a variety of things, with different colors and shapes. From God all things manifest. Yet creation is always distinct, unique, individualized. We can honor all things because all are of God, no matter what the appearance. Let us look with spiritual eyes at the universe, appreciate it, love it and rejoice that we live in a wondrous place!

Affirm: I look out on the world as a Divine Manifestation of God!

Meditation - Oneness

We shall now move into meditation on Oneness. Let us turn inward to our holy temple. As we breathe to acknowledge God - Infinite Spirit as the breath we take in and release. We quiet our thoughts and be still and know.

Ephesians 4:6: One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

God everywhere present, includes everything, all universes, all dimensions, that which is visible and invisible. All is God in expression. That includes the very being that I am is of God in manifestation. There is only one life and that is God living life.

I am an individualized manifestation of God in expression. (Repeat)

I am a Divine Manifestation just as all life and all things are of the same substance of God; infinite love, infinite goodness, infinite intelligence, infinite life. God is one, then all is one. I am one with all of creation. I am one with every human being. I am one with all of nature. I am one with our mother earth and all the elements of creation. I am one with stars and everything in between, I am a cosmic being of light. I am an expression of God. (Silence)

Let us take a moment to let joy fill our hearts. Thank you, Divine Presence. So it is! Amen.
