Reading & Meditation on Divine Substance by Rev. Teresa Stuefloten, M.Div. 9/6/2026

Good morning! This is Rev. Teresa. I have a reading for you this morning from the September 5th Divine Science Daily Study by

DIVINE SUBSTANCE

Catherine Ponder wrote, “Never underestimate the power of substance. It underlies everything in your world, and it is controlled by your ideas about it.”

Protestant theologian Paul Tillich referred to God as “the ground of being.” That may be another way of saying “substance.” God (Goddess, Mind, Spirit, the One Power…pick a name that appeals to you) is our Substance. We are made from God-stuff. We are inspired, to the degree that we are open to inspiration, by God-ideas. God-life is living Itself through us. When I think of my substance as being divine, then I know that from my divine Substance comes perfect supply, perfect vitality, perfect wisdom, perfect love, perfect joy…my needs are being perfectly met because my Substance is perfect (as it must be since it is divine!).

As I declare and believe that Divine Substance is really all there is, I become open to better experiences, more peace, more happiness, more achievement, and more fulfillment.

I am, as Emerson said, part and parcel of God. There is only one Substance, and it is All Good. Let the blessings now flow in greater abundance!

Meditation:

Now I invite you to prepare to go within for a short time of meditation, letting go of worries or concerns for this time, getting comfortable, closing your eyes with your inner gaze raised to the center of the forehead, turning your attention to your breath, gently noticing the in-breath and the out-breath…feeling the coolness of the in-breath and the warmth of the out-breath… allowing the breath to sink down into the belly with each in-breath… expanding the belly with each in-breath and contracting the belly with each out-breath… coming into the present moment through the breath now, completely awake and aware…

God-life is the ground of my being…

I am a Divine being…

I am made of God Substance…

God Substance is only good; therefore, I am only good…

God-life is living through me…

All of my needs are perfectly met in every moment by my Divine Substance…

My Divine Substance supplies me with perfect vitality…

My Divine Substance supplies me with perfect wisdom…

My Divine Substance supplies me with perfect love…

My Divine Substance supplies me with perfect joy…

Divine Substance is all there is…

Knowing that Divine Substance is all there is and it is only good…

I am open to being inspired by God-ideas…

I am open to better experiences…

I am open to more peace…

I am open to more happiness…

I am open to more achievement…

I am open to more fulfillment…

There is only One Substance and it is All Good…

I allow blessings to flow into my life in greater abundance now…

We rest now in the silence for one minute, feeling the flow of Divine Blessings…

Now, having rested in the silence, I invite you to bring yourself back to awareness of the body, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Continue to allow blessings to flow into your life, knowing that you are Divine Substance manifested and all is good and very good. And so, it is.
