•     Good morning! This is Rev Teresa. I have a reading for you this morning from the April 10 Divine Science Daily Study titled:

AGAPE LOVE

Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

bless those who curse you and pray for those who abuse you.  

– Luke 6:27,28

Jesus stressed that we are to love our enemies. In keeping with his overall teachings on love, the Greek word agape is used, which indicates a benevolent and unselfish love. In the omnipresence of Spirit, there is no enemy. Spirit, being One Omnipresence, cannot compare or contrast itself with itself. Hence, Jesus taught people to judge not, and noted that a house [mind] divided against itself cannot stand.

A Course in Miracles teaches that there is only love and fear. To react to another's fear in any way other than a loving way is to empower the fear.

One translation of Paul's assertion that love never fails is charity (as compassion) never fails. This provides a nuance of understanding regarding Jesus' teaching on the primacy of agape love.

Meditation

Now I invite you to prepare to go within for a short time of meditation, letting go of worries or concerns for this time, getting comfortable, closing your eyes with your inner gaze raised to the center of the forehead, turning your attention to your breath, gently noticing the in-breath and the out-breath…feeling the coolness of the in-breath and the warmth of the out-breath… allowing the breath to sink down into the belly with each in-breath… expanding the belly with each in-breath and contracting the belly with each out-breath… coming into the present moment through the breath now, completely awake and aware…

Breathe into your heart now, feeling the Light of Divine Love expanding in your heart…

God is Divine Love…   Breathe into your heart again…

I am a Divine expression, made in the image and likeness of God….  Breathe into your heart again…

The Truth of me is that I am made in the image and likeness of Divine Love…  Breathe into your heart again…

Therefore, I Am Divine Love…  Breathe into your heart again…

I love myself as a Divine expression…. Breathe into your heart again…

All beings are Divine expressions, made in the image and likeness of God…   Breathe into your heart again…

The Truth of all beings is that each one is made in the image and likeness of Divine Love…. Breathe into your heart again…

I love all beings as Divine expressions of the One…  Breathe into your heart again…

My love is agape love, benevolent and unselfish…. Breathe into your heart again…

My love is compassionate, kind and caring…  Breathe into your heart again…

All beings are my friends, for I have no enemies… Breathe into your heart again…

We are all One in God’s omnipresence…. Breathe into your heart again…

I see only the best in all beings… Breathe into your heart again…

As I send my Divine Love out into the world I promote Peace…  Breathe into your heart again…

The hearts of all beings are opened in agape love now as peace prevails…. Breathe into your heart again…

I see Divine Love encircling the entire planet now in agape love… Breathe into your heart again…

All beings see the Truth of their oneness in Divine Love… Breathe into your heart again…

We are all One, we are all One, we are all One…

We now go into the silence for one minute, resting in Divine Love.

Now that we have rested in the silence, I invite you to bring yourself back to awareness of the body, feeling refreshed and energized. I encourage you to meditate in the silence of Divine Love, breathing into the heart and feeling the presence of the Divine. See the best in each person you meet this week, silently sending them Divine Love. The kindness and compassion of agape love heals the strife in the physical world. Be a beacon of love and peace.
