Reading & Meditation (Power) by Rev. Christine 9/12/21
The following reading is from Divine Science Daily Studies II by Irwin Gregg.
“Behold, I give unto you power...over all the power of the enemy.” Luke 10:19.
At the center of Life, there is God. At the deep heart of all that is, there is God. The omnipresent Mind of Life is ever poised for action. Our life belongs to the greater Life to which we must turn in order to see the meaning of our own. It is only as we become adjusted to Life as a whole and to its infinite purpose that we are able to meet a crisis.
The process, then, of our silent help is that of subordinating conscious thought to infinite Spirit. The omniscient and omnipotent action of Spirit through the spiritual center of man, his God image, always brings salvation, the redeeming and restoring to original purity and perfection any physical condition or set of circumstances (our enemies).
To sum it up, let us say that there is a quiet power that makes men giants. That quiet power enables a man to live productively and successfully. We avail ourselves of the blessings of this power through observing periods of communion with it.
I now enter into conscious communion with God, with His healing, revealing, informing, transforming, and prospering quiet power. Here, in the quietness of His presence I find hidden reserves of strength, new light and inspiration.
Meditation
Let us move into meditation. I invite us to close our eyes, clear our mind and bring our attention inward to that sacred place. Begin with some good deep breathing...
Jesus said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matt 28:18.
Divine Infinite Spirit, all powerful God is right here and everywhere present. I am of the very presence and nature of God. Therefore, the One Presence and the One Power is the real activity within me. I am the light and power of God in expression.
Divine Power is expressing in, through and as me now. (Repeat)
God as power is the One Mind creating all life and all that I am. As an expression of God I have the power to create my experiences. My very thought creates. I am open and receptive to the power and wisdom of the universe... I choose to create beauty, peace, joy, and love and more love in my life. I now see only the goodness of God radiating forth in all of creation... I can feel this power radiating through ever cell of my body... I am whole, holy one in God... Be still now and know...
Thank you Divine Spirit for these moments in silent communion, and for all that has been revealed to us. Amen!
Let us now bring our attention back to our breathing. You may want to stretch a little, and open your eyes.
