“12 Powers -- Wisdom and Love” by Rev. Mark 3/13/22
Today we are continuing with the “12 powers of Man” based on Charles Fillmore’s works. This series is focused on the activating of these powers in our lives. To consciously call upon them by name affirming their power, then meditate upon their gift, and finally express those powers in our daily life making them ours. It is through the activating of all 12 powers that the Christ within is activated, and brings forth regenerative life.
This week our focus is on activating the 3rd and 4th power of Wisdom and Love. After Christ Jesus called forth his 1st two disciples representing the powers of Faith and Strength, he called forth another set of brothers James and John, respectively wisdom and love. They are the balancing of the masculine and feminine energies; mental and feeling. They are known as the “Sons of Thunder” for together their power is great for the tremendous vibrations that go forth when charged through the heart.
Beginning with Wisdom, disciple James, the son of Zebedee, this power or faculty includes righteous or good judgment, discernment, our inner knowing, intuition and instinctiveness. When separated from the power faculty of love it can become criticism, judging and self-righteous. Alone it is destructive mental power. From the Bible in Matthew 7:1, we read, “Judge not, that ye not be judged.” And, John 7:24, “Judge not according to appearances, but judge righteous judgement.”
Wisdom is located at the solar plexus, at the pit of the stomach, and is connected by nerves to the heart. The solar plexus is considered the body brain where we sense a gut feeling, an inner knowing called instinct. Knowing is sensed in the body mind, not in the brain mind. We learn to listen to the body. We process the information through our body balancing with feeling to make right judgment, known as discernment or wisdom.
Until a few years ago the majority of learned people thought of the mind as being the brain. Now we know that the mind is really part of the whole system. It is really the intelligence governing the whole body. he body is how we process our experiences in this physical world of three dimensional reality. The information experienced is then stored as cellular memory.
Our body is but an outer reflection of our consciousness. We build our body from the understanding of our beliefs and experiences. When we believe our body to be separate from the One Mind, separate from all the other parts of God, this is known as ego.
Ego is the mind-set that feels separate from all the other parts of the One Mind — God. The ego is that part of us that is centered in fear, and existing in denial of the whole picture; while in truth there is only the whole picture.
When our love faculty is shutdown we abide in fear, separation; our ego. This results in the lower limited aspects of this great spiritual power. This is like wearing clear glasses, verses having dark colored which distorts all we see. Loveless judgement becomes criticism and condemnation which leads us to a path of deception. All our senses our clouded by fear. We then make wrong decisions and act inappropriately to our experiences. When connected through love our lives flow bringing us to a greater understanding of who we are, and our purpose for being.
Before making any important decision, or when feeling confused -- take time out, and go within, and claim: “I release any pressure in decision making.” (repeat) And affirm, “Divine justice is now established in me. I Am now empowered by Wisdom.” (repeat)
Now for our Love faculty, at the heart center including the thymus gland. Love is said to be the lightning bolt for the solar plexus. The life-giving power. Without love life would be sad, un-fulfilling, without purpose and lonely. For without love we feel separate from one another and separate from God. Without connection to love there is no true power.
Love is a spiritual gift, and is not an emotion. Love is often confused with emotion because it is expressed through the feeling nature, just as emotion is. But love is a spiritual quality which is drawn upon to settle emotion and to balance the feeling nature.
If you have conditions on your love towards a person, this is not love, but emotionalism. Love is freeing, while a love surrounded in emotions is controlling, stifling, and possessive. It is based in fear not love. Unconditional love is that total sense of connection with everyone, and all life. Love is knowing our oneness with God.
When we feel guilty, judgmental, unforgiving and unworthy we are living in the past. These feelings are in our cells blocking the flow of energy. This is slowing us down on our spiritual path of evolution. We are short circuiting ourselves — severing our ties to the heart center. Thus, the gut gets overloaded and needs to be purged.
Purging the gut can only be done through the grace of forgiveness; which is love in action. The heart center is where true healing takes place. The full connection between the heart and solar plexus brings heaven on earth. Effective prayer includes the integration of the whole body, mind and soul -- allowing the spirit -- love to move freely throughout.
Fillmore writes, “Regeneration is not possible without love. As through the union of the male and female elements the new body of the infant is brought forth, so through the joining of the creative forces of spirit by souls attuned in love the new body in Christ is speedily formed...”
We shall now begin to call forth and activate the powers of Wisdom and Love. Let’s take a moment to stretch, and get comfortable, and take a few good deep breaths. Relax. As I speak to take these words in for yourself, and affirm with me.
Now center your attention in the crown, very top of the head, here you contact your super conscious or Christ mind.
Let us Affirm: “The Christ of God is awakening within me. (repeat)
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit, a soft golden white light of pure intelligence is now filling me. I can feel this light as it surrounds and fills every cell, atom, molecule of my being. I am Ignited with Light.
Now allow this golden light move to the front forehead, the seat of the conscious mind.
Let us Affirm:I am aware that the Christ of God is awakening within me. (repeat)
I AM grateful that the Christ of God is being quickened in me now. (repeat)
Feel the golden light penetrating and permeating every function and cell of soul and body, down even into the hands and feet. Consciously follow it down into the feet and even beneath the feet. (pause) With your attention centered in the feet, realizing that the windows of your soul are open toward the heavens of your mind. You are now saturated in this holy light.
There is an ascending current coming up from the earth through the feet. The descending current of spirit connects with the ascending current tempering and harmonizing all undisciplined race thoughts and transforms error beliefs. Now consciously ascend your focus with this upward current to center back of the heart and upper stomach.
The Christ is setting up a throne of dominion here. These twelve powers are entering the soul consciousness and are organizing themselves as substance. We are now laying the foundation of the new Christ body or temple of God within us.
Let us Affirm:“I am now in the presence of pure Being, immersed in the Holy Spirit of Life, love, and wisdom. (repeat) I acknowledge Thy presence and power. (repeat) I bring my world into manifestation according to Thy perfect law.” (repeat)
Let us call forth our disciple, “The Christ in me calls forth, James, the son of Zebedee, my disciple-faculty of wisdom and good judgment. (repeat)
We now bring our attention to the solar plexus, to our power of Wisdom. We declare: “The Christ of God through Wisdom is awakening within me... The Christ of God through Wisdom is awakening within me.
We Affirm: “Divine Wisdom is quickened within me, and my soul rejoices. (repeat) Tone the sound “RA” (3x), and see a glowing yellow color at the Wisdom power center.
Now allow the golden light to the Love power center. We declare: Wisdom works through love. (repeat) I am being lifted out of fear and doubt. (repeat) I AM secure in the protective love and power of God! (repeat) I AM grateful.” (repeat)
Let us call forth our next disciple: “The Christ in me calls forth John my disciple-faculty of Love.” Now bring the golden light to the heart including the thymus. We affirm: Love and Wisdom are united in me... Love and Wisdom are united in me...
We now realize that the light of Spirit is descending from the crown of the head and organizing itself at the heart center. Silently hold the thought: I am one with infinite Love and Wisdom. (repeat) Feel now a new peace and harmony quickening within you.
Next let the golden light ascend to the Power center at the root of the tongue; then silently hold this thought: I have power to express the Love and Wisdom of Spirit. (repeat)
The Divine Light now descends to the Life power center at the lowest part of the abdomen. We affirm: The forgiving love of the Christ cleanses, purifies, and redeems me. (repeat)
The Divine Light now returns to the back of the heart and stomach.
We affirm:“The joy of the Lord is a wellspring within me, and I am established in Divine Love. I AM grateful!” (repeat)
Tone the sound “AH” (3x) and see as a glowing pink color at the heart power center. Feel love flowing to every part of your being. Your body temple is the garden of God and that every cell and fiber is made pure by this baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Now allow the Divine Spirit to move to the feet and into the palms of the hands, realizing that wisdom and love must always be accompanied with works, that nothing is ours unless we express it. Take a few moments in silence to contemplate how you will express wisdom and love in your new awakened life. (pause)
We will close with the Aramaic Translation of the Lord’s Prayer by Lamsa. “Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done as in heaven so on earth. Give us bread for our needs from day to day. And forgive us our offences, as we have forgiven our offenders. And do not let us enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
